This is Spartaaaa! One famous line from the film 300 (2007) was very memorable. The film, starring Gerard Butler, Lena Headey and Vincent Regan and hits the top of box office after successfully raised more than U.S. $ 28 million in the first day and more than U.S. $ 70 million in the first week of releases! That number ranks the movie as the 24th film with the highest revenue in the first week of its opening in box office history.

Many wondered if the 300 would have a sequel. The answer is NO! 300 will not have a sequel, but a prequel? YES! Since last year, Warner Bros. and Legendary Picture has appointed several parties that would be the scriptwriter, producer, and director. Writer of the script fell into the hands of Kurt Johnstad (who previously worked with Zack Synder then resigning and handles script of Man of Steel). The script is based on the Frank Miller's latest Xerxes graphic novel, which tells part about the battle of Marathon and stories about the feud between Xerxes and Themistocles.

At the director's chair there is Noam Murro and most recently was the certainty that the actor Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom) will play an antagonist character of Themistocles. How about Artemisia? Reportedly, Eva Green have undergone the process of casting for the role, but until now there has been no further information about the results. One of the most important thing: who will portray the character of Xerxes? Unfortunately, no info about this.

Initially, this prequel titled Xerxes and later changed to 300: The Battle of Artemisia. According to reports, the title is still uncertain and will change in the future.
